The movie is about a young Gelfling called Jen who must repair the damaged Dark Crystal. The great conjunction of the three suns is near and if Jen is too late, the evil Skeksis will control the crystal forever. Supported by the gentle Mystics, Jen goes on a dangerous journey to find the missing shard of the crystal.
