Based on the 1911 novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett, the movie is about a young girl named Mary Lennox, who after being sent back to England from India, goes to live on her Uncle Lord Craven's estate. It is a fairly isolated existence and she has to find things to keep herself occupied, which includes finding a secret garden.
