PART 1 – Comprehension questions in chronological order (15 or 25 questions) 2 sets of questions depending on the grade or challenge. The multiple choice questions will also work well with ESL/ELL students. Answer keys included.

PART 2 – Writing activities and Word Search
• The first section students to write sentences using the beginning letters from the title THE GRUFFALO. I have given an example for the first one. Followed by writing about times the students felt happy, sad or excited while watching the film.
• The second section is for students to draw their favorite character and write a little bit about them following the question prompts.
• The last section is a word search puzzle with 15 words to find, 5 of which need clues answered beforehand. Answer key included
The film is based on the bestselling book by Julia Donaldson. It tells the story of a little brown mouse who, while searching for food in the woods encounters upon some hungry animals who want to gobble him up. Using his vibrant imagination, the mouse conjures up a monstrous creature to scare them away...
