  • Using their storyboards as guides, students to write a synopsis of the movie.

PART 3 – Discussion questions

Food Inc Documentary - Discussion, Comprehension, and Analyzing + Activities

https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Food-Inc-Documentary-Discussion-Comprehension-and-Analysing-3041236

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This 9 page movie guide accompanies the documentary Food, Inc...What are we eating when we buy processed foods? Where does our meat come from? These are the kind of things we learn about in this documentary and I highly recommend watching it with your class. I split these worksheets in to three parts.

Part One: (30 mins - 1 hour) pdf

This is a pre-viewing discussion. The aim is to get the students focused on 4 of the main foods mentioned in the documentary. These are chicken, beef, pork and corn. There are 24 questions in total between each food. Includes 4 pictures as visual aids for discussion.

Part Two: (2-3 hours) pdf

Consists of 32 comprehensive questions that can be completed after watching the documentary Food Inc. I suggest getting the students to write notes about important events, figures/numbers as these are part of the questions. (answers included)

Part Three: (1-2 hours) doc + docx

To give an understanding of the types of ingredients we often eat in processed foods, students are to research a popular snack (processed food) that you often eat or drink. Students will bring in to class something processed and follow what is requested in the document. Use the internet for help. (possibly used as part of a nutrition class)
