This 11 page movie guide accompanies the movie "Fantastic Mr. Fox"
This includes:
• 23 comprehension questions in chronological order with answers.
• Drawing and writing about the three farmers with answers.
• Writing a plan for Mr. Fox to follow and drawing out a route to follow.
• Group work - writing and drawing about how to improve security for the farms.
• Word search with answers
Part 1 – Here we have 23 comprehension questions in chronological order to be completed after the movie. Ideally they should make notes throughout the movie to help with these questions and other parts of this document.
Part 2 – consists of 2 sections
• Students need to complete the 3 farmer profiles. This includes drawing the farmers, describing what they look like, their favourite food and little bit about their farm.
• Choosing one of the three farms, students to write the plan Mr. Fox needs to follow to take something from there. They have to explain how to get past the security protecting the farm. They also need to draw a map of the route and list the equipment needed.
Part 3 – (GROUP WORK) in a group of 3, students to each take one of the farmers, Boggis, Bunce and Bean. They then need to write about what they are going to do to help protect their farm to stop Mr. Fox stealing again. They need to include some drawings of the new security they will install.
Part 4 – Just for fun. A word search for the early finishers.
The movie is about Mr. Fox who likes to steal things. He steals from the meanest farmers called Boggis, Bunce and Bean, but it ends up in a horrible way when they know that Mr. Fox has stolen all their things. So it's up to Mr. Fox to save his family.
