PART 1 – Comprehension questions. I have made three sets of questions for differentiation or depending on how much of a challenge you want to give the students. Answer keys included
• 30 questions in chronological order.
• 20 questions in chronological order (10 questions removed from the 30 question set)
• 20 multiple choice questions in chronological order with 3 possible answers.
PART 2 – Extension questions for class discussion
• There are 10 higher level extension questions for students to complete, either alone or in pairs. Can be then used for a class discussion and follow on with other activities about the civil rights movement.
PART 3 – Writing
• Students to imagine they are Miles and recount their experience of bringing Martin Luther King Jr. back to their time. They write a diary piece about all the things that had changed and how they felt.
