PART 1 – Comprehension questions in chronological order. I have made three sets for differentiation. The multiple choice questions may also work well with ESL/ELL students. Answer keys included.
- 50 questions requiring full sentence answers.
- 35 questions requiring full sentence answers (15 removed from the 50 question set)
- 35 multiple choice questions with 3 possible answers
PART 2 – Storyboard and synopsis
- Students to draw a 9 scene storyboard of what they believe to be the most important parts in the movie. To include a brief description for each scene. Remind students they can look at the movie questions to help with the sequences.
- Using their storyboards as guides, students to write a synopsis of the movie.
PART 3 – Character writing and creative writing
- Students to write about one of the characters following the question prompts and include a drawing of their chosen character.
- Students to write a short story about what one or more of the characters decided to do after the Death Star had been destroyed. If they choose more than one character, they need to involve both in the same story.
About the movie: After plans of an Imperial space station are stolen by rebels against the Empire, two droids set off on a mission to keep them safe and ensure they don't end up in the wrong hands. The droids eventually meet Luke Skywalker, a farm boy from Tatooine who suddenly finds himself embroiled in the resistance on their mission to try and help stop the advancements of the Galactic Empire.
