This 9 page movie guide accompanies the movie "Inside Out"
Part 1 – This is comprised of 23 long answer questions in chronological order. Students should ideally make notes on important events and the characters to help with the questions.
Part 2 (GROUP WORK) – This task is for groups of 5. Each student in the group will get one of the 5 emotion characters from the movie. They need to complete the worksheet which should take around 30-45 minutes.
Part 3 (GROUP WORK CONT) – Now the students have completed Part 2 they need to get into groups again but this time grouped into the same emotion. Each group will need to make a poster which will include:
• The picture drawn in part 2 from each person and their reason.
• A colorful title for their emotion (emotion color)
• The paragraph from each of the personality islands (The best ones chosen between the students in the group)
• Any vocabulary connected to that emotion
• Other decorations to make the poster presentable
Part 4 – Students to present their posters to the rest of the class
This movie is about a young girl named Riley who moves to a new city. We follow her emotions: Joy, Fear, Anger, Disgust and Sadness, conflict on how best to navigate her new way of life.
