PART 1 – Comprehension questions
• There are 35 questions in chronological order with answers.
PART 2 – Creativity & Growth Mindset
• The first task, students to help Luke make a plan to put Formula 86 into the watercress soup the witches are going to eat. They draw the route on the kitchen map then write detailed instructions on how to carry the plan out, all the while not being seen by the kitchen staff.
• The second task, students to imagine they too have been turned into a mouse and to write a diary entry of a typical day. Using growth mindset thinking they need to include a positive outlook of living as a mouse.
• The third task, students to still imagine they are mice and to design and draw a house for them to live in while at home, as well as toys if they like. Students need to also label the drawings and provide a brief explanation for each of the designs
Based on the book by Roald Dahl, this movie is about a recently orphaned young boy named Luke, who is taken to England by his grandmother. At a hotel in which they are staying, a group of witches have gathered to prepare a plot to rid England of all children.
