This 15 page movie guide with handouts is for the film "The Sea Beast (2022)". This guide will also work well as a sub plan for your substitute teacher.

PART 1 – Comprehension questions in chronological order. I have made three sets for differentiation. The multiple choice questions may also work well with ESL/ELL students. Answer keys included.
- 40 questions requiring full sentence answers.
- 30 questions requiring full sentence answers (10 removed from the 40 question set)
- 30 multiple choice questions with 3 possible answers
PART 2 – Storyboard, synopsis and creativity
- Students to draw a 9 scene storyboard of what they believe to be the most important parts in the movie. To include a brief description for each scene. Remind students they can look at the movie questions to help with the sequences.
- Using their storyboards as guides, students to write a synopsis of the movie.
- Students to design and draw their own sea beast and describe it.
PART 3 – Just for fun (early finishers)
- A word search puzzle with 15 words to find, 5 of which need clues answered beforehand. Answer key included.
The movie is about terrifying beasts who roam the seas and the hunters who chase them. Maisie, a young orphan stows away on one of the ships and soon finds herself embarking on an epic journey into uncharted waters.
