PART 1 – Comprehension questions in chronological order. I have made three sets for differentiation. The multiple choice questions may also work well with ESL/ELL students. Answer keys included.
- 54 questions requiring full sentence answers.
- 36 questions requiring full sentence answers (18 removed from the 54 question set)
- 36 multiple choice questions with 3 possible answers
PART 2 – Storyboard and synopsis
- Students to draw a 9 scene storyboard of what they believe to be the most important parts in the movie. To include a brief description for each scene. Remind students they can look at the movie questions to help with the sequences.
- Using their storyboards as guides, students to write a synopsis of the movie.
PART 3 – Character writing and newspaper report
- Students to write about one of the characters following the question prompts as well as drawing a picture of their chosen character.
- Students to imagine they are reporters for the college newspaper and have heard rumors of Dr. Jones’s recent adventure. Students pretend to have an interview with the professor in order to write a short article which include quotes from the interview and a drawing.
The movie is the 1st instalment of the Indiana Jones movie series and follows famed archaeologist Dr. Jones as he unexpectedly ends up in India, then gets tasked by an impoverished Indian village community of searching for a sacred stone believed to have been stolen by a dark power.
