PART 1 – Comprehension questions in chronological order (15 or 30 questions)
• For each set of questions there are multiple choice with 3 possible answers, and full sentence answers. Making a total of 4 sets of questions. Answer keys for all of them included.

PART 2 – Writing activities
• The first section students to write sentences using the beginning letters from the title ROOM ON THE BROOM. I have given an example for the first one. Followed by writing about times the students felt happy, sad or excited while watching the movie.
• The second section is for students to draw their favorite character and write a little bit about them following the question prompts.

This movie is based on the bestselling book by Julia Donaldson, which tells the story of a kind witch and her cat who invite a number of other animals to join them whilst traveling on her broomstick.

Included in the worksheets:

PART 1 – Students to complete comprehension questions while watching the movie. I have made three sets for the different grades. There are answer keys for all of them.

• 20 multiple choice questions with 3 possible answers in chronological order.
• 20 questions requiring answers in full sentence.
• 30 questions for the higher grades, also requiring written answers in full sentence form.
After the movie I like to go through questions not understood or answered and give clues through acting or rewording the question. The 20 and 30 question sheets have been labeled.

PART 2 – Creativity and writing
• The first task is for the students to draw a picture of Ted and George doing something together and then to answer the 4 questions.
• The second task is a word search and the 3 questions asking students to write about the times they felt happy, sad and excited during the movie.

Based on the book series by H.A. Rey and Margret Rey, the movie is about a man named Ted who works at a natural history museum that's fallen on hard times. The museum director's son wants to turn it into a parking lot, but Ted offers to bring back a mysterious idol from Africa that's guaranteed to pull in crowds. Ted accidentally brings back a lonely monkey, he names George.

• Students to imagine they are evacuating from the island the next day and have to write a diary entry of their experiences so far.

PART 3 – Just for fun
• Word search with clues to answer for some of the words. Answer key included.

Based loosely on the book by Judi Barrett, this movie is about a local scientist named Flint Lockwood, who is often regarded as a failure until one day he invents a machine that can make food fall from the sky.
