This guide may also work well as a sub plan for your substitute teacher.
PART 1 – Comprehension questions in chronological order. I have made three sets for differentiation. The multiple choice questions may also work well with ESL/ELL students. Answer keys included.
- 60 questions requiring full sentence answers.
- 45 questions requiring full sentence answers (15 removed from the 60 question set)
- 45 multiple choice questions with 3 possible answers
PART 2 – Storyboard and synopsis
- Students to draw a 9 scene storyboard of what they believe to be the most important parts in the movie. To include a brief description for each scene. Remind students they can look at the movie questions to help with the sequences.
- Using their storyboards as guides, students to write a synopsis of the movie.
PART 3 – Character writing
- Students to write about the Joker and Batman following the question prompts. Includes a drawing of both. Could be helpful as a stepping stone for a group analysis of the two characters.
About the movie
Harvey Dent is the new District Attorney in the city who takes an iron fist in bringing down Gotham's organized crime. As a result, the city's desperate mob bosses turn to the Joker, a sadistic psychopath who creates a new wave of chaos. Batman's struggle against The Joker becomes deeply personal, forcing him to confront everything he believes in, and his ability to fight injustice.
