PART 1 – Comprehension questions in chronological order. I have made two sets for differentiation. The multiple choice questions may also work well with ESL/ELL students. Answer keys included.

• 20 questions requiring full sentence answers.
• 20 multiple choice questions with 3 possible answers

PART 2 – Storyboard and synopsis

• Students to draw a 9 scene storyboard of what they believe to be the most important parts in the short film. To include a brief description for each scene. Remind students they can look at the movie questions to help with the sequences.
• Using their storyboards as guides, students to write a synopsis of the film.

PART 3 – Creativity

• Students to be imaginative and think up 2 other different ways Henry could have used his skill to find money for the hospitals and orphanages, and then explain a typical day.

Based on the short story by Roald Dahl, the film follows Henry Sugar, a rich singleton who stumbles upon a memoir of a chap named Imdad Khan who could miraculously see without using his eyes.
