PART 1 – Comprehension questions in chronological order. I have made two sets for differentiation. The multiple-choice questions may also work well with ESL/ELL students. Answer keys included.
- 30 questions requiring full sentence answers.
- 29 multiple choice questions with 3 possible answers. (+ 1 final question is full sentence)
PART 2 – Discussion questions
- Students to answer five critical thinking questions for class discussion. (Could work well in pairs) Example answers included.
PART 3 – Storyboard and synopsis
- Students to create a 9-scene storyboard, illustrating pivotal events from the movie. Each scene should include a short description explaining the main idea it represents. Use the movie questions to guide sequencing.
- Using their storyboards as guides, students to write a synopsis of the movie.
PART 4 – Character writing
- Students to write about one of the characters following the question prompts and to include a drawing of their chosen character.
Based on the novels by Lloyd Alexander, the movie is about a young pig-keeper who finds himself caught up in a perilous quest when dark magic threatens the land of Prydain. Alongside a band of unexpected companions, he must face dangers beyond anything he imagined.
