This has two parts to it.
PART 1 consists of 6 questions all on the subject of homelessness. The students get 20 minutes to complete this part, then discuss together as a class. The idea is that the students become familiar with everyone else's ideas and opinions on homeless people and mental illness. Includes answers
PART 2 consists of 27 comprehension questions to be answered after the movie. Students are required to make notes to help complete this part. Includes answers
● Additional to add: Ask the students what they believe the motives are of the creators of a movie about homelessness (especially a true story) get them to write a bullet point list. (can be done at the beginning or end of the movie)
This movie is about a musician who developed schizophrenia and became homeless and his encounter with a journalist from the L.A Times who wants to write a story about him.
