PART 1 – Comprehension questions. I have made three sets of questions for differentiation or depending on how much of a challenge you want to give the students. Answer keys included

• 40 questions in chronological order.

• 30 questions in chronological order (10 questions removed from the 40 question set)

• 30 multiple choice questions in chronological order with 3 possible answers.

PART 2 – letter writing, describing a character, sentence writing

• Students to imagine they’re living in Smeerensburg and to write a letter to Mr. Klaus telling him all the good things they’ve done this year. Include a picture of the wooden toy they would like from him.

• Students to write a little bit about the favorite character in the movie. Includes describing them, writing about their personality and what the student liked and disliked about them. Also need to draw them.

• Students first write sentences using each of the letters from the words “Klaus” then write about places in the movie where they felt sad, happy and excited.

PART 3 – Just for fun word search and crossword puzzle (10 questions with the answers being the words to find in the word search) also 5 hidden words to find. Answer key included

The movie is about a young postman named Jesper, who is sent to a frozen island above the Arctic Circle. Here he meets local toymaker Klaus, where their unlikely friendship melts a long standing feud and delivers a sleigh full of holiday traditions.

• The first task involves the students writing a little bit about one of the pets in the movie. They choose one of the seven listed names, then draw a picture of that character and complete the questions. Students also need to write the name in to the correct box as well as the correct pronouns and possessive pronouns.

• The second task asks for the students to draw and write about a pet they have or would like to have. Includes writing about the type of pet, its age, size and weight, what it likes to eat and what it’s good and bad at doing.

• The third task asks students to imagine they are going to get a new pet and write about the responsibilities that come with it. They need to write about the things they need to purchase prior to getting the pet, followed by the daily chores they need to do to take care of it, and lastly any weekly or monthly tasks they need to do.

The movie is about the story of Max and his pet friends, following their secret lives after their owners leave them for work or school each day.

The movie is about the story of brother and sister Kate and Teddy Pierce. After noticing something strange on their camera, the pair's Christmas Eve plan to catch Santa Claus on camera turns into an unexpected adventure that most kids could only dream about.

This 16 page movie guide with handouts accompanies the film "Coco (2017)". Steeped in Mexican culture and folklore, the movie follows young Miguel whose dreams of becoming a musician are hampered by his family's ban on music. Magically entering the Land of the Dead, Miguel embarks on an extraordinary journey to unlock the real story behind his family history.

PART 1 -
There are 30 comprehension questions altogether. I have made two sets for the higher and lower grades. One set is multiple choice with 3 possible answers, and the other is full sentence answers. In chronological order with an answer key

PART 2 – Creativity
• Students to design and draw an imaginary spirit guide (alebrijes) with description.
• Decorating a calavera.

PART 3 – Character profiles. For a group of 4 if too much for one child.
• There are 4 character profiles to complete. Students draw a profile picture, describe their features and personality, then write what they like and dislike about that character. Includes the characters Miguel, Hector, Abuelita and Dante.

Word Search Fun - with 15 words to find, 5 of which need clues answered beforehand.

Sentence Fun – Students first write sentences using each of the letters from the words “Coco Movie” then write about places in the movie where they felt sad, happy and excited.
